Photo by The West End The 2010 AT&T MLS All Star Game will take place on Wednesday, July 28th in Houston, Texas. Although it’s merely an exhibition game, the talent on the field could rival any European league’s team. In fact, the all stars will be playing a European team. Manchester United, to be exact. I know Philadelphia has some of the most influential fans in sports. Just look at all the Phillies that made…

But to be honest, I just couldn’t do it. This team sits at a 1-5 record, with its one…

photo by vinod.sankar You’re welcome, Toronto FC. You looked depressed, so out of the goodness of our Philadelphian hearts, we thought a couple of goals would help. You now officially owe us one scrap of self-esteem. The question before the game was whether TFC could bear the added shame of being whooped by the new kids on the block, considering their already waning morale. It turned out to be a moot question; while Toronto got…

10. You joined the Sons of Ben way back when soccer in Philadelphia was just an idea being passed around. You rallied, cheered, begged, and pleaded just to get this city noticed as a soccer city. 9. You sleep in your Philadelphia Union jersey. Or, in the case of the night before the home opener, you lay in bed with your Philadelphia Union jersey on, but don’t get any sleep out of excitement. 8. You…
