Have you heard? The transfer season is heating up, with a landmark deal for a relatively big-name signing. Good one, Pete.

The U fall to DC on penalties in a barely failed attempt to enter the USOC. Apparently it was a good game, but we lost. Sigh.

Grecian geological debates, another excuse to mock Comcast, and enough poor humor to get you through the 15 minutes you have before your boss gets back from lunch- it’s CyberShotz!

A full match preview is on the way from one of my esteemed colleagues here at phillyuniontalk.com; the soccer season continues.  The fixtures come quickly, and results are a thing of the past.  The home opener was quite a show, but it’s time for all of us budding supporters to move on to tomorrow night’s huge game against Toronto FC.  The Union take the show on the road for the next four games.  The first…

Sebastien Le Toux on his Last Hat Trick from mlsinsider on Vimeo. PhillyUnionTalk.com writers unanimously voted Sebastien Le Toux our Man of the Match in Saturday’s game. On a side note, this blogger is starting to get a little paranoid, as some sources claim to be covering the Union, but are really just “cut and pasting” all of PhillyUnionTalk.com’s brilliant material. There seems to be no end to this plagiarism- even MLS is copycatting, having…

Saturday’s matchup between your Philadelphia Union and D.C. United proved to be both historic and celebratory for the Philadelphia area.  It was a game marked by strong mid-field play, hard challenges, and exceptional team work. The game’s first goal came shortly after the 4th minute with a well timed header courtesy of the night’s hero, Sebastien Le Toux.  The opportunity arose when United’s defense, perhaps showing themselves to be a bit overzealous, fouled Alejandro Moreno…

One, Toux, Three

Last night marked the return of professional soccer to Philadelphia- and what a return it was.  To say the least, it was awesome.  Seeing my first professional soccer game played in this city was something I will never forget.  The atmosphere was like nothing else, and the show on the field was even better. On Saturday, the star of this 90 minute drama was none other than forward Sebastien Le Toux.  Le Toux stepped up big…

Songs

Hell yeah! We need a new word- one that describes what you feel when fireworks are exploding over the Linc and the Union squad is scrambling towards the supporter’s section, arms raised, echoing the screams of triumph coming from thousands of blue-clad maniacs. Whatever that word is, I can’t say it.  Neither can the rest of the crowd that cheered our boys on to victory tonight. Our throats are too sore, our voices raspy and…

Northeast Corridor USA.  It’s packed up in here.  We got NYC and Boston to the North.  B’ more and Washington DC to the South.  As a general rule I hate all teams from New York and Boston.  New Yorkers think everything New York is the best.  It’s an annoying trait that makes domination over the Mets most enjoyable.  Boston is a great city.  Really it is.  Unfortunately, it is teeming with Massholes, and it is…
