Poll: Playoffs?

The razor’s edge. The precipice. The thin line.
That’s where the Union stands now, having infamously fallen from the uppermost echelon of the Eastern Conference table into the murky gray area of 4th-ish place. While our be-snaked boys in blue cling valiantly to our playoff chances, our enemies circle. As Mr. Tannenwald so astutely pointed out, the Union would only barely be playoff-eligible if the regular season ended today.
The regular season, however, doesn’t end for a while- and between then and now lies 10 games, none of which are guaranteed victories. Can the Union keep hope afloat and battle their way back up the table? Will the Blue and Gold be marching into the postseason, or will this summer’s string of non-wins prove our undoing?
Peter Nowak claims that the thing to do is focus on the now, and not let thoughts of October cloud their minds. But here we stand, in the purgatory of 4th place, with everything hanging in the balance. With a phenomenal (but penetrable) defense, and an impotent (but potential-filled) offense, will we make it?
Try to put aside both optimism and pessimism as you answer today’s poll question. The glass is exactly half whatever. The seesaw is parallel to the ground. The chicken is squeezing out the egg of our dreams onto the peak of the roof. What do you think will happen?
