Philadelphia Union 3rd Kit

 

The 3rd kit has arrived.  Frankly, it’s beautiful.  Following something of a tradition by using white as the main color, the new shirt cleverly maintains the Union’s definitive symbolic characteristics and colors.  The shoulders alone display the blue and gold, while the snake-shield crest rests front and center on the chest. 

Understated.  Elegant.  Perfect.

Of course, the shirt is only as beautiful as time, closing ever too quickly upon the fatal moment someone slaps a Mexican pastry sticker on it, will allow.  Let’s enjoy it, in all its seriousness and professionalism, while we can.

    I don’t like the blue otherwise it looks good. Still say the uniform should be the light blue/yellow civic flag colors, though.

    This is a great look. And if we must have the Bimbo logo (and we must because they gave us a good chunk of money), it will look a lot better on this jersey. I would expect to see more of this than the gold jersey in 2011.

    Meh, Its okay I guess I would rather the Crest by over the heart but on that shirt it would look weird…still shouldda went for a stripe or check

    Love the jersey! But it kind of looks like the LA Galaxy Home jersey no? Just a thought.
